Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and personable Barista / Budtender to join our team! In this role, you will be the welcoming face of our establishment, creating a welcoming environment to all. Your enthusiasm for coffee, beverages, and hemp products will help create a positive experience for every guest. This position offers a blend of food service expertise with retail sales skills. Paid training is provided to ensure you excel in all aspects of the role. This role does make tips; the pay reflected is BASE pay only.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffees, teas, and other specialty drinks
- Assist customers in selecting products, providing knowledgeable recommendations on hemp products
- Operate POS systems accurately to process retail sales transactions
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and customer areas in compliance with food safety standards
- Handle cash transactions efficiently while balancing cash drawers at shift end
- Educate customers on product features, usage guidelines, and responsible consumption practices
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly, complete prep work, and maintain a welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a barista or in food service is preferred; experience as a budtender or in the cannabis industry is a plus
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and sales processing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Capable of standing, walking, and performing light cleaning duties for extended periods
- Must be at least 21 years old and comply with all local regulations regarding hemp sales
