The Department of Human Ecology within the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences (SEBS) at Rutgers University invites applications for a full-time, academic-year, non-tenure track (NTT) position at the rank of Full Professor of Science Education and Environmental Learning. This is a 100% teaching and professional engagement appointment designed to strengthen undergraduate and graduate instruction, teacher preparation, community-engaged learning, and interdisciplinary environmental education initiatives.
The successful candidate will contribute to the Environmental Policy, Institutions, and Behavior (EPIB) program, Science communication and Sustainability minors, and SEBS-wide educational initiatives by demonstrating a strong commitment to teaching several courses each academic year. The position will provide leadership in science and environmental education, teacher development, experiential learning, and public engagement related to sustainability and environmental problem-solving.

Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Human Ecology, Environmental Education, Science Education, Interdisciplinary Sustainability Education, and related areas.
- Develop and teach courses focused on inquiry-based learning, scientific practices, environmental literacy, climate change education, and community-engaged learning.
- Support teacher preparation programs and professional development initiatives for K–12 educators.
- Collaborate with faculty across SEBS, NJAES, Graduate School of Education, and other related disciplines to promote interdisciplinary teaching and curriculum innovation.
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students interested in environmental education, interdisciplinary sustainability learning, and educational leadership.
- Contribute to departmental service, curriculum development, assessment, and outreach activities.
- Strengthen partnerships with schools, community organizations, governmental agencies, and informal learning institutions.
- Conduct and support collaborative convergence research that advances environmental learning and impact.
