Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Private Dog Kennel staff member. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care for dogs in a safe and nurturing environment. Your passion for animals, combined with your skills in dog handling and care, will ensure that our canine receive the highest level of attention and support. Just because you own a dog/s does NOT mean you have some of the qualifications that we are looking. If you haven't worked at a doggie daycare, kennel, with a breeder or veternarian please do NOT apply. Horse experience is a plus.
Needs
- MUST be reliable.
- Start time is 2 PM EVERYDAY, 5-6 days a week and some overnights required when I travel.
- MUST be able to follow instructions.
- MUST have common sense
- MUST have a good work ethic and work fast paced.
- MUST HAVE DRIVERS LICENSE
Duties
- Provide daily care for dogs, including feeding, grooming, and exercise.
- Monitor the health and behavior of each dog, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kennel area to ensure a safe environment for all animals.
- Assist with dog training sessions as needed, utilizing positive reinforcement techniques.
- Handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments with confidence and care.
- Perform basic veterinary tasks under supervision if applicable, such as administering medications or assisting with treatments.
- Ensure proper animal restraint techniques are used during handling to maintain safety for both staff and animals.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities related to animal care.
Qualifications
- Experience in dog handling or kennel work is preferred.
- Background in veterinary assistance or technician roles is a plus.
- Knowledge of pet grooming techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary, including moving dogs or equipment.
- Familiarity with animal care practices, including feeding schedules, exercise routines, and health monitoring.
- Compassionate demeanor towards animals and a commitment to their well-being.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Application Question(s):
- You MUST be willing and able to spend overnights at my house when I travel once or twice a month usually over a weekend for 3 to 7 days. I pay a flat rate daily fee. There are no exceptions.
