Brinson CDJR of Corsicana is looking for an experienced MOPAR Certified Technician to help lead and grow our service department.
This is more than a technician position. We are looking for someone with 5+ years of dealership experience who has strong diagnostic abilities, understands how a successful shop operates, and wants to help build a strong team around them.
The ideal candidate is someone other technicians naturally turn to when they have a difficult diagnostic, someone who can help keep work moving through the shop, and someone who wants to take the next step into a leadership role.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to email [email protected].
Responsibilities
- Help manage the daily workflow of the technician team by assisting with dispatching and assigning repair orders based on technician skill, experience, workload, and repair complexity.
- Coach and mentor technicians to improve diagnostic skills, repair procedures, efficiency, and overall quality of work.
- Serve as the go-to resource for difficult and complex diagnostics, particularly electrical, drivability, network, ADAS, and intermittent concerns.
- Assist technicians with troubleshooting, factory service information, wiring diagrams, technical bulletins, and diagnostic procedures.
- Review repair orders and help ensure technicians have the information, parts, time, and resources needed to complete repairs correctly.
- Monitor technician workflow and help identify bottlenecks, comebacks, unfinished work, and opportunities to improve shop efficiency.
- Work closely with Service Advisors and management to communicate diagnostic findings, repair recommendations, and repair status.
- Help maintain high standards for quality control and ensure repairs are completed correctly and according to MOPAR factory procedures.
- Lead by example by performing advanced diagnostics and repairs when needed.
- Help develop less experienced technicians through hands-on coaching, training, and guidance.
- Assist management with identifying training opportunities and helping technicians continue to develop their skills.
- Promote a team-first environment focused on productivity, quality workmanship, customer satisfaction, and accountability.
Qualifications
5+ years of automotive dealership technician experience HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
MOPAR Certified Technician REQUIRED
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with the ability to accurately identify root causes of complex concerns.
Extensive experience with MOPAR vehicles and dealership repair procedures.
Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, wiring diagrams, CAN/network systems, drivability, ADAS, powertrain, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
Ability to diagnose difficult and intermittent concerns without relying on unnecessary parts replacement.
Previous experience mentoring, coaching, dispatching, or assisting other technicians is highly preferred.
Strong understanding of technician workflow, labor times, repair orders, parts availability, and dealership service operations.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technicians, Service Advisors, Parts, and management.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple repair orders and keep work moving through the shop.

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an experienced technician who is ready to take the next step.
You don’t have to be a Service Manager, and you don’t have to sit behind a desk all day. We want someone who still enjoys working on vehicles and solving difficult problems, but also wants to help lead the shop, coach other technicians, and have a bigger impact on the department.
If you’re the technician everyone comes to when they can’t figure something out, you enjoy teaching others, and you’re ready to help build a strong team, this could be the opportunity you’re looking for.
