Position Summary
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for children, families, professionals, community partners, and visitors to Children’s Advocacy Center- Hope House. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming, professional, and child-friendly environment while providing excellent customer service and administrative support.
The Receptionist must demonstrate compassion, professionalism, discretion, and sensitivity when interacting with children and families who may be experiencing significant stress or trauma. The position supports Hope House’s mission of ending the cycle of child abuse by helping provide a safe and supportive environment for children and their caregivers.
Front Desk & Reception
- Greet and assist clients, families, staff, community partners, law enforcement, and other visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls, emails, and general inquiries.
- Manage the reception area and maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.
- Monitor visitors and ensure appropriate access to the facility.
- Notify appropriate staff when clients, investigators, attorneys, or other professionals arrive.
- Assist families with check-in and provide basic information regarding Hope House services and procedures.
- Maintain a calm, supportive, and trauma-informed approach when interacting with children and caregivers.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
