Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the operations of our school cafeteria. You will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks to our students, washing dishes, and ensuring a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, deep cleaning of all areas of the kitchen, sanitizing surfaces, and storing food properly.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring, managing, rotating, and putting away inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
- Assist with Meal Service: Help in serving meals and snacks to students, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
- Food Preparation: Assist in preparing meals and snacks for students, following established recipes and portion sizes.
- Assist Head Cook: Support the Head Cook in meal preparation and kitchen operations as needed.
- Other Duties: Assist with other kitchen-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen environment required.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Can lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
- A passion for providing nutritious meals to children.
- Able to work in environment with young people
- Eligible to be employed in the United States and pass a background screening
