Schnebly Winery is looking for a tour guide/greeter !
The position would be on the weekends from Friday-Sunday.
The following are the duties included in this position:
Greet all visitors to the winery and pour wines for tasting.
· Create a memorable experience for the guests.
· Have knowledge of our wine to be able to describe wines and present customers with options catered to their pallet and answer any visitors’ questions about our wines.
· Check customers ID and confirm it meets legal drinking age in Florida.
· Restock and replenish bar inventory & supplies.
· Set up & refill bar before & after shifts completing all opening & closing duties per shift.
· Provide general tourist information.
· Handle routine sales transactions which include operating cash register and accounting of daily sales.
· Assist with display and stocking of retail items and wines
· Assist with special events as needed.
· Must be TIPS Certified.
· Study Tour Guide Booklet to be able to perform tours at designated times.
· Preparing food items from our deli cooler for customer.
· Communicate effectively with managers, staff, and other bartenders & barbacks on team.
· Adhere to company safety and sanitation policies and promote cleanliness in the workplace.
· Abide by all policies, procedures, and standards, as laid out in Employee Handbook. It is the responsibility of each employee to carry themselves with respect to other employees, guests & themselves.
· Tasters/Tour Guides should arrive to work well-groomed and with a positive attitude. In other words, carry themselves as true professionals.'
