The Project Engineer will support the successful execution of an HCAI-regulated healthcare project. This role works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to manage documentation, subcontractor coordination, procurement tracking, and field support.
The ideal candidate has experience in commercial construction and understands the structure and compliance requirements of healthcare or HCAI projects.
Manage and track submittals from start to approval
Prepare and process RFIs
Assist with PCO development and change order management
Maintain full project document control
Track procurement logs and material deliveries
Support subcontractor coordination and administration
Assist Superintendent with weekly Short-Term Look Ahead schedules
Attend and participate in project meetings
Support project startup and buyout activities
Manage closeout documentation including punch lists, O&Ms, warranties, and spare parts
Act as a company representative on-site with professionalism
Site-based role; expected to be present and engaged at the project site daily
Work equally and directly with both Project Manager and Superintendent
Maintain strict adherence to contract requirements and notice provisions
Escalate risks or issues early to protect project success
Operate with urgency, organization, and strong communication
2–5 years of experience in commercial construction
Experience on healthcare or HCAI projects strongly preferred
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field
Strong organization and documentation skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced jobsite environment
Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera, Navisworks, MS Project, Revit, or similar tools preferred
Knowledge of QSP, SWPPP, LEED, or sustainability practices a plus
