Our Construction Managers report to you and handle the day-to-day contracts, subcontractor sourcing, and coordination.
This is a traveling, field-forward position. You will spend the majority of your time at active job sites nationwide, leading the work in the field, and work remotely from a home office between site visits. We are looking for a seasoned construction leader who brings deep experience, strong judgment, and full ownership of outcomes.
This is an opportunity to join a growing, entrepreneurial development company and play a defining role in how we build across the country. Also helping standardize our construction processes and set the quality bar as we scale.
Why This Role Stands Out

Responsibilities include:
- Leading construction delivery across multiple active self-storage projects nationwide
- Leading and developing Construction Managers who handle subcontractor sourcing, contracts, and day-to-day coordination and holding the team accountable to scope, schedule, and quality

- Owning project budgets and cost control in addition to tracking commitments, approving pay applications, and mitigating overruns
- Overseeing site work, foundations, steel / pre-engineered metal building erection, and building envelope through interior finish-out
- Conducting on-site inspections and progress verification to confirm work meets approved plans and specifications
- Identifying delays, coordination issues, and execution risks early, and driving corrective action
- Leading project review calls with subcontractors and internal leadership, and maintaining reporting, dashboards, and project controls
- Managing inspections, permitting coordination, punch list, warranties, as-builts, and turnover documentation
- Delivering each project complete, on schedule, on budget, and operationally ready
What You Bring
- 10+ years of construction experience, including ground-up commercial or light-industrial projects
- 3+ years of experience with steel / pre-engineered metal building (PEMB) systems strongly preferred (foundations, erection, and panelized envelope)
- Leadership experience managing construction teams (construction managers, project managers, or superintendents) across multiple concurrent projects
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent ground-up projects valued at $5M+
- Strong command of construction drawings, specifications, and field execution
- Track record of delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Proficiency with construction management platforms such as Procore, Buildertrend, or similar, plus scheduling and cost-control tools
