Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Experienced Mechanic to join our dynamic automotive service team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of vehicles with precision and efficiency. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance. Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately.
- Repair and maintain various vehicle components such as engines, transmissions, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and powertrain elements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs and maintenance tasks across different vehicle makes and models.
- Diagnose complex problems related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), air brakes, and other electronic systems to ensure optimal vehicle safety features.
- Perform welding and auto body repairs when necessary to restore vehicles to their original condition.
- Read and interpret automotive schematics and technical manuals for precise repairs on GM vehicles and other brands.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer specifications, and quality control procedures.
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and recommending maintenance plans to clients.
- Maintain detailed records of all services performed using auto estimating software for accurate documentation.
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred due to familiarity with manufacturer-specific procedures.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel engine repair, transmissions, powertrain components, and automotive electrical systems.
- Hands-on experience with ADAS calibration, air brake systems, wheel alignment, suspension work, tire service, shocks & struts replacement.
- Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex issues effectively.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic software is essential.
- Experience working on GM vehicles or similar brands is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
