Title: Pathologist Assistant
Location: Needham, MA
Job Type: 3-Month Contract/Temp to Hire
Pay: $55-$60/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week | 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM
Duration: 13 Weeks
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Pathologists' Assistant to join a CAP-accredited laboratory in Needham, MA. The ideal candidate will have strong grossing experience in surgical pathology and be committed to delivering accurate, high-quality specimen processing.
Requirements:
- PA(ASCP) Certification OR HTL(ASCP) Certification
- 3–5 years of grossing experience in a CAP-accredited laboratory
- Experience with GI, prostate, breast, skin, GYN, POC, and other surgical pathology specimens
- Strong knowledge of specimen handling, gross examination, and laboratory protocols
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Epic Beaker LIS
- Dragon Voice Recognition experience
- Leadership or team coordination experience
Education:
Associate's, Bachelor's, or higher degree in Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related healthcare field.
