POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs assembly operations to deliver the highest quality and on-time delivery to customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembles finished products using appropriate parts and appropriate hardware according to prints.
- Packages and skids finished products.
- Cleans and maintains equipment and work area.
- Follows established safety guidelines and correct processes to ensure the best quality.
- May need to move parts within the factory using a hand-jack.
- Performs regular inspections of assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Documents any defects or issues and reports them to the supervisor.
- Regularly checks and maintains tools and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Reports any malfunctions or need for repairs to the to the proper personal.
- Accurately completes all required documentation, such as assembly logs, quality checklists, and inventory records.
- Ensures all records are up-to-date and stored properly for easy access and review.
- Participates in ongoing training sessions to stay updated on new assembly techniques and safety protocols.
- Engages in cross-training opportunities to enhance skills and flexibility within the team.
- Works closely with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow.
- Participates in team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to use wrenches, power drills, shrink wrap, and strapping equipment
- Ability to read prints and use tape measures and calipers
- Valid driver’s license with an excellent driving record preferred
- Hilo driver’s license preferred
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma preferred

Prior manufacturing experience is desirable
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Regularly required to communicate and exchange accurate information with co-workers.
- Frequently required to remain stationary, with occasional movement within the facility.
- Constant operation of equipment and handling of materials requiring dexterity, grip, and detection of minute details.
- May need to ascend/descend and position themselves around equipment, tools, and fixtures.
- Frequently required to move, lift, and transport components, tools, and equipment ranging from 10 to 60 pounds.
- Specific abilities required include close-up perception, distance observation, color distinction, and focus adjustment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Functions in a factory environment with assembly and welding operations.
- Noise level is occasionally loud, and the environment is occasionally dusty.
