Key Responsibilities:
Governance Automation & Policy Enforcement
- Design and implement a governance automation and policy enforcement platform to ensure consistent security and compliance controls across the environment.
- Translate security and compliance requirements into automated, repeatable policy frameworks.
- Reduce manual governance processes through platform-level automation.
Purview Platform Engineering & Capability Expansion
- Build and expand Purview platform engineering capabilities to enable data governance, classification, and compliance at scale.
- Enhance existing Purview implementations to support broader coverage, automation, and operational maturity.
- Establish standards and best practices for Purview adoption and integration.
Self Serve Access & Identity Automation
- Design and implement self-serve access and identity automation to simplify access requests while maintaining strong security controls.
- Automate identity lifecycle management, access provisioning, and deprovisioning using least-privilege principles.
- Enable secure, scalable access models for platform and data consumers.
Continuous Compliance & Certification Programs
- Establish continuous compliance automation to support ongoing regulatory and certification requirements.
- Design frameworks to move compliance from point-in-time assessments to always-on validation.
- Integrate compliance controls directly into platform workflows and engineering processes.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience in security, compliance, governance, or risk platform engineering roles.
- Strong background in building automation-first security and governance platforms.
- Hands-on experience with identity and access management, access automation, and policy enforcement.
- Experience working in environments with regulatory, compliance, or certification requirements.
- Ability to design and deliver platforms in early-stage or unbuilt capability landscapes.
- Strong hands-on expertise across Microsoft Azure services including Subscriptions, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Log Analytics, and core networking and compute services.
- Deep experience with Microsoft Entra ID and identity governance capabilities
- Proven implementation experience with Microsoft Purview for data governance, classification, data catalog, information protection, data lifecycle management, and complianc e reporting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel capabilities for security posture management, threat detection, cloud workload protection, and compliance monitoring.
- Strong automation and Infrastructure as Code skills to build repeatable, policy-driven platform controls.
- Experience integrating security and compliance controls into delivery pipelines using Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions
- 5+ years of relevant experience.

Salary Range: $64,000 - $108000 a year
