In this role, you will be responsible for constructing durable, high-quality decks that enhance the beauty and functionality of residential and commercial properties. Your expertise in framing, carpentry, and finishing will ensure each project meets safety standards and client expectations. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately build decks according to specifications
- Erect metal building frameworks, including metal stud framing and heavy equipment operation when necessary
- Install rebar and perform concrete forming, finishing, and plastering to create solid foundations for decks
- Execute trim carpentry, siding, stucco, and masonry work to achieve seamless aesthetic results
- Use hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and dimensional measurement techniques to ensure precise cuts and placements
- Manage heavy lifting tasks safely while maintaining adherence to safety protocols on-site
- Collaborate with construction management teams to coordinate project timelines and ensure quality standards are met
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with a focus on deck building or related trades such as framing, masonry, or remodeling
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, and construction plans
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and other woodworking or masonry equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
- Familiarity with metal building erection, concrete forming, rebar installation, siding, stucco, and drywall finishing
- Experience operating heavy equipment used in construction projects is a plus
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for accurate construction work
- Knowledge of safety standards related to construction site activities including welding and heavy equipment operation
