Duties
- Assist lead teachers with daily classroom routines, including setup, cleanup, and organization of learning materials
- Support lesson planning and implementation across various subjects such as literacy education, math, and curriculum development
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote social skills, behavior management, and early childhood development
- Provide one-on-one support to children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism or requiring toddler care
- Help maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment through effective classroom management techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and classroom events
- Support classroom management strategies by encouraging positive behavior and fostering inclusive participation among all students
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including Montessori or other curriculum models
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students
- Ability to manage classroom behavior positively and effectively
- Experience in lesson planning, literacy education, math activities, and curriculum development is desirable
- Certification or coursework in special education or childhood development is advantageous
