Note: This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a cat-friendly office and supports animal rescue efforts. We are home to a resident office cat and support a local foundation dedicated to rescuing stray cats in South Florida. A love for animals — especially cats — is a must!
**Overview:**
We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This person will support the daily administrative functions of our company, assist with customer and vendor communications, and help keep our operations running smoothly. If you are passionate about books, organization, and helping others — and you love cats — this may be the perfect fit for you.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist with customer orders, shipping documents, and invoices (Quickbooks)
- Coordinate activities in the office and calendar of events
- Communication with customers
- Library and/or school background desirable
- Coordinate logistics for book fairs, school programs, and events (Advanced excel needed)
- Comfortable using AI Apps
**Skills:**
- BILINGUAL: Proficient in Spanish-english (Portuguese is a plus)
- Team work and adaptability
- Excellent organizational and ability to work by projecta and follow instructions
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Detail-oriented, dependable, and solutions-focused
- Excellent use of Excel, Google Drive, Drop Box
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Interested in books, literacy, and multicultural education
- Animal lover — especially cats! Comfortable sharing space with an office cat and aligned with our values in supporting animal rescue
