Responsibilities
- Assist with reading and interpreting construction plans and technical drawings to support project execution.
- Perform manual handling tasks, including lifting heavy materials and equipment safely, following OSHA safety standards.
- Operate power tools and basic equipment for cutting, drilling, and assembling materials as directed by supervisors.
- Implement erosion control measures to protect the environment and ensure site stability during construction activities.
- Conduct routine equipment repairs and maintenance to keep tools and machinery in optimal working condition.
- Follow all workplace safety regulations, including proper use of respiratory protection, climbing safety gear, and other personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Support site safety protocols by adhering to OSHA standards, participating in safety meetings, and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work environment.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in industrial or general construction environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
- Ability to read blueprints, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and implementation of OSHA safety standards.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to operate power tools and perform basic equipment repairs.
- Physical strength and stamina for heavy lifting, climbing, manual handling, and working at heights.
- Strong understanding of erosion control practices and environmental protection measures on construction sites.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on teamwork and safety compliance.
