Meineke Car Care Center in Garner is looking for a motivated, dependable General Service Technician / Service Advisor Hybrid who enjoys both working on vehicles and providing outstanding customer service.
This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable performing routine automotive maintenance while also assisting customers at the front counter. You'll split your time between the shop and the service desk, helping us deliver an exceptional customer experience from start to finish.
ResponsibilitiesGeneral Service Technician Duties
- Perform oil changes and routine maintenance
- Rotate and balance tires
- Repair flat tires
- Replace air and cabin filters
- Perform wheel alignments (or be willing to learn)
- Complete vehicle inspections
- Perform North Carolina State Inspections (license preferred)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Service Advisor Duties
- Greet customers professionally and provide excellent customer service
- Answer incoming phone calls
- Schedule appointments
- Write estimates and repair orders
- Explain recommended services and repairs to customers
- Communicate with technicians regarding vehicle repairs
- Follow up with customers throughout the repair process
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (required)
- Previous automotive service experience preferred
- Previous service advisor or automotive sales experience preferred
- North Carolina State Inspector License is a plus
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Positive attitude with a team-first mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills
