Position Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Inventory Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for issuing and tracking purchase orders, receiving incoming materials, and maintaining accurate inventory records. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage purchase orders based on inventory needs and sales activity
- Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, delivery dates, and order accuracy
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders
- Record incoming goods and report discrepancies or damaged materials
- Coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure products are stocked and available
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock adjustments
- Maintain working knowledge of product lines and vendor terms
- Follow company safety procedures and quality standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous purchasing, receiving, warehouse, or inventory experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and vendor-coordination skills
- Basic math and computer skills; experience with inventory or purchasing software a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
