Daycare Toddler Teacher Overview
We are seeking a caring and dependable Daycare Toddler Teacher to join our team at Bright Steps TX Daycare as we are expanding. In this role, you will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, play, and grow. The ideal candidate is patient, energetic, and passionate about early childhood education, with the ability to foster positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
Daycare Toddler Teacher Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education preferred)
Bilingual Required.- English / Spanish
Minimum requirement of at least two year experience
Knowledge or experience in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field preferred
Must posses excellent customer service/communication skills
Flexible and energetic
Have the ability to juggle multiple duties
Detail oriented
Ability to resolve conflicts
Computer proficiency, ability to learn other programs quickly
Certifications- First Aid Certification
Must pass a background check and FBI check
Physical abilities- Must be able to bend, stoop , stand, and lift-up to 25-40 lbs. daily

Daycare Toddler Teacher Responsibilities
- Create a warm, welcoming, and safe classroom environment for children ages [infant – preschool/school age depending on your program]
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s development (social, emotional, physical, and cognitive)
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety at all times
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Maintain daily routines including meals, naps, and learning activities
- Communicate daily with parents through reports and/or apps about their child’s progress and needs
- Keep classrooms clean, organized, and in compliance with state childcare regulations
- Collaborate with team members to maintain a supportive and professional workplace
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14 - $16.50 per hour experience dependent
