Machine Operator
Bradford Forest LLC, a leading hardwood lumber and dimension parts manufacturing company situated in the rolling hills of Northwestern Pennsylvania, is looking for a Machine Operator for our Bradford, Pennsylvania location. The Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of production line machinery, feed chains and conveyors.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- Previous sawmill or manufacturing experience required.
- Must understand sawmill manufacturing operations with a priority on working safely with all necessary PPE.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements including walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Must have excellent hand/eye coordination to operate a variety of push buttons and switches
- Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with maintaining a positive, team-oriented work ethic.
- Must be able to read and write legibly
- Reliable individual with an excellent attendance record and willingness to work overtime as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe and efficient operation of production line to maintain flow.
- Perform startups, shutdowns, inspections, etc.
- Respond to various equipment sounds, process alarms, etc.
- Communicate with employees to ensure safety and continued operation
- Perform routine maintenance.
Pay & Benefits
- Hourly Rate - $14.00 with possible increase after 90-days
- Full-time position with overtime hours: Monday – Thursday 5:00am-3:30PM, Friday 5:00am-1:30PM and additional overtime as needed
