Description:
SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Branch Manager, a Member Specialist performs a variety of duties necessary to provide efficient service to members and effective branch operation in conformance with the established Credit Union policies, strategies procedures, and objectives to ensure quality member services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for Teller station and accuracy of transactions

Maintain and secure custody of cash drawer

Cash checks - follow check cashing policies and procedures for withdrawing funds

Process deposits and withdrawals for members in person or by mail
-
Process mortgage and loan payments
-
Issue bank checks and money orders as needed
-
Process cash advance transactions as needed
-
Answer routine member inquiries

Process Stop Payments
-
Print out statements if requested
-
Maintain a neat and orderly workstations
-
Responsible for member account confidentiality and privacy

Accurately and promptly settle drawer at end of day

Ability to cross sell products and services
-
Open new accounts for members
-
Answer member phone calls and provide follow up as necessary

Assist in training of new staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; environment may be fast-paced with extensive member contact via face-to-face. This position includes evenings and Saturdays.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk. Use of general office equipment required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds (cash drawer, coin bags, supplies, etc.).

The final position level and title will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications; candidates may be considered for a higher or lower-level role within the department. Member Specialist applicants may begin employment as a Universal Banker or Member Specialist, depending on skills and experience.
The pay range for the Senior Universal Banker position is $21.25 to $22.00 per hour and is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. The range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs and affordability.
