Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Operations to lead and optimize our business functions, drive operational excellence, and foster sustainable growth. Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies that support organizational growth, efficiency, and profitability.
- Lead large-scale organizational change management initiatives to improve processes, systems, and team performance.
- Oversee business development management efforts to identify new opportunities, expand market presence, and strengthen client relationships.
- Manage budgets with precision, including forecasting, financial analysis, profit and loss management, and executive-level budget oversight.
- Drive continuous process improvement initiatives by analyzing operational data, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to craft strategic plans that align with long-term business objectives.
- Supervise senior leadership teams across various departments, fostering a culture of high performance, accountability, and collaboration.
- Utilize data-driven decision-making techniques to inform strategic planning and operational adjustments.
- Oversee project management efforts ensuring timely delivery of initiatives that support organizational goals.
- Lead large-scale organizational change management efforts to adapt to market shifts or internal restructuring smoothly.
Daily responsibilities
1) Coordinate and develop business for company and all its partners in USVI and Domestically
a) Implement CRM and train new hires
b) Manage Marketing assistant, develop tools and submit commissions for assistant to finance/Owner.
c) Schedule, direct and coordinate with appropriate employees, 3 weekly meetings for Marketing, Sales and Production/Operations.
d) Document work through CRM, Google Drive, WhatsApp and other Apps
e) Work with Estimator and Sales to develop material, order and cataloging management System for all companies
f) Manage relations with Subcontractors and Vendors.
g) Attend Finance, HR and Executive meetings.
h) Communicate with finance, pertinent information regarding AR and AP.
i ) Create and manage island Employee Recruitment & Training Process
j) Provide help to owner and other employees as needed.
k) Communicate with Owner on all findings
Along with the duties listed above, you will also be responsible to:
- Ensure materials and crew payroll are paid on time
- Send payroll on Monday morning by 12pm to Payroll company.
- Manage check collection and deposits
- Handle banking transfers for supervisor account. Communicate with finance any ACH/wire requests
- Track job pipeline to forecast cash flow
- Schedule and call clients to book jobs. Manage CRM
- Ensure crews have what they need on-site
- Follow up on outstanding material orders and track delivery
- Coordinate materials and logistics with Tropical
- Work with Customs to clear orders
- Get invoices updated with COOs (Certificates of Occupancy)
- Work alongside Marketing on design, proofing, and follow-up
- Build schedule for inspections and marketing
- Answer the company phone and cover for owner
- Respond to and approve Home Depot texts
- Build and maintain vendor and contractor relationships
- Schedule company events
- After meetings, confirm each person understands next steps and follow up to make sure it happens
- Manage company Housing for subcontractors
- Coordinate water delivery and WAPA oversight
- Keep vehicles clean and maintained; handle insurance claims after accidents
- Arrange housing for crew when they arrive
- Handle laundry and cleaning scheduling when crew rotates out
- Book flights for crew; rebook when plans change
- Coordinate crew living accommodations and rent
- Work with Insurance requesting COI’s.
- Manage all employee health insurance
- Handle vehicle accident insurance claims
- Onboard and meet with each employee to understand their role and ensure they feel valued and heard
- Build and maintain a healthy team culture
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management with a strong track record of leading teams at an executive level.
- Extensive knowledge of operational excellence initiatives, process improvement methodologies, and change management strategies.
- Demonstrated success in business development management and strategic planning within complex organizations.
- Strong financial acumen including budget management, forecasting, profit/loss analysis, and operational analysis.
- Exceptional verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with executives and diverse teams.
- Expertise in project management tools and techniques for managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Leadership experience supervising senior teams while fostering a collaborative environment focused on continuous improvement.
- Ability to analyze data comprehensively to make informed decisions that drive organizational success.
- Skilled in managing large-scale organizational change efforts with a focus on minimizing disruption while maximizing benefits.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
