MACHINIST-4 DAY WORK WEEK
Diversified Metal Services has been in business for over 50 years. Many of our employees have been with us between 10 to 30 years. We have an immediate opening for an experienced machinist, working with our 5 Axis Router/Mill. The ideal candidate will have experience or knowledge of Mastercam software. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to stay on long term, is self-motivated, and willing to learn. JOB DESCRIPTION
· Produce quality parts to customer print specifications and work order instructions using allotted standard times and processes.
· Reading and interpreting all drawings/prints
· Multiple set up and tear down required.
· Maintain set up and run dimensionally correct parts.
· Accurately count finished parts, organize, and move completed work to next work center.
· Accurately record process times.
· Maintain a clean and well-organized work area.
· Offer process improvement ideas.
· Able to interact with other personnel and customers in a professional and courteous manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 2-3 years experience in a machine shop preferred
- Computer literate
- Understanding verbal instructions
- Follow established safety procedures
- Capable of doing basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to read and follow basic engineering drawings
- Available to work overtime
- Willingness to work in all areas of production process
- Work well with others and on your own
- Able to work under stress to meet deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have your own basic machinist tools
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to pass drug screening
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
