SUMMARY
This key position is to provide GNC with a solid structural teammate, having a complete knowledge of leading & detailed cleaning. Sanitation experience required. The employee chosen for this position will be thoroughly trained in the Standard Sanitation Operational Procedure or SSOP.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing clear direction in the Wash Down Rooms.
- Identifying what equipment / electrical needs to be covered.
- Using and providing the proper color-coded tools to do the job.
- Report food safety and quality problems to authorized personnel who can act on.
- Knowledge of equipment needing detailed cleaning, taken apart and cleaned (especially in food contact areas) to prevent mold and bacterial build up.
- Applying correct chemical dilution ratios to clean (trained in chemical safety a plus but will train right individual).
- DOCUMENTATION – Have knowledge of Master Sanitation Schedule. Provide signature on any documentation that is required to verify task was completed.
- Assuring all sanitation materials/tools/chemicals are taken out of area, put back in their proper place and or disposed of when area is completed.
- Report to work on time. Overtime when necessary as well as weekend work. Covers for other Sanitation Techs in their absence.
- Conduct regular sanitation duties, Custodial, which will be provided by the Sanitation Department Lead on a daily basis.
- Direct Report is to Sanitation Lead.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to cross train.
- Ability to accurately Log and Record Sanitation Activities.
- Janitorial and Sanitation Knowledge.
- Computer skills a plus. (Microsoft Word, Excel, and E-mail.)
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Standing on a concrete floor.
- Wearing proper personal protective equipment (hair net, bump cap, ear plugs, safety shoes, and uniform).
- Bending, stooping, twist, turn, standing for extended time periods, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Required to work weekends during peak season.
- Required to work mandatory overtime when needed.
