About Us
ArtDrop is a Denver-based art studio. Our work lives or dies on how it looks on camera - which is why this role matters to us.
The Role
We're hiring one person to own our video: shooting and editing product and social content that makes our work look as good on a phone screen as it does in person. This is a hands-on, in-studio job. You'll be behind the camera, at the edit bay, and helping the team get orders finished and out the door.
If you're early in your career with a strong reel and you want to actually learn a craft rather than just crank out deliverables, this is a good fit. We'll teach you color, finishing, and how art gets made.
What You'll Do
Video (about 70% of your time)
- Shoot product video in-studio - lighting, framing, and camera work for our pieces and collections.
- Cut short-form social content for Instagram, TikTok, and Reels: hooks, pacing, music, captions, the whole edit.
- Shoot behind-the-scenes and process content around the studio.
- Shoot artist story and art piece synopsis for relevant art to be released.
- Manage the media pipeline — ingest, organize, back up, and archive footage so nothing gets lost.
- Deliver on a regular content calendar and turn edits around fast when something needs to go out same-day.
- Keep our look consistent across every piece of content that goes out.
Studio (about 30% of your time)
- Help with finishing and packaging work — prepping pieces, packing orders, getting shipments ready.
- Set up and strike shoots; keep gear, backdrops, and the shooting space in order.
- Learn color correction and grading, with real training and time to practice.
- Learn image acquisition, color management, print color spaces, ICC profiles, color proofing, and preparing files for accurate fine-art reproduction.
- Pitch in on general studio operations when we're pushing toward a deadline or a drop.
What We're Looking For
Required
- 1–2 years of video shooting and editing experience, or a strong reel that demonstrates equivalent skill.
- Solid command of at least one NLE: Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro.
- Comfortable operating a camera: exposure, focus, framing, and basic lighting are second nature.
- A real understanding of short-form social video — you know why a hook works and can name three accounts whose editing you'd steal from.
- Organized with files and reliable with deadlines.
- Willing to put the camera down and help pack boxes when it's a shipping week.
- Able to work on-site in Denver, 5 days a week.
Nice to Have
- Motion graphics or After Effects.
- Photography and product retouching.
- Any color grading experience (DaVinci Resolve especially).
- Audio basics — mics, levels, cleanup.
- Interest in art, craft, or making things with your hands.
What We Offer
- $46,000 – $56,000 per year, depending on experience and portfolio.
- Hands-on training in image acquisition, color correction, finishing, and studio production.
- Real creative input - your ideas make it into the work.
- Employee discount on ArtDrop pieces.
- A studio full of people who care about what they make.
