Coquina Elementary School is seeking an experieced School Guidance Counselor to provide assistance to students, parents, and teachers in making educational, occupational and life plans with a program that will enable the student to reach his/her fullest physical, emotional, psychological, and behavioral potential.
This is a 10-month position beginning on August 3, 2026 for the 2026-2027 school year.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Master's Degree from an accredited educational institute
- FLDOE Certification as a Guidance Counselor
PREFERRED/DESIRED:
- Experience in elementary education is preferred

Starting instructional pay is $50,450 per year, plus there is a pay supplement for a master's degree.
Please note salary is based on verifiable years of experience as per District guidelines.

Our voters passed a millage in 2022 and all instructional staff (counselors are considered as instructional), from zero to 19+ years of experience, will receive a supplement. The pay ranges based on years of experience, but for a counselor with 19+ years' experience, that's approximately an additional $8,110 (pay and supplement are prorated based on start date) in your pocket! This raises the overall compensation higher than our neighboring school districts.
