****This position is open only to current NEISD students participating in the Video Arts program or those taking related courses
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Must be at least 16 years of age
Familiarity with camera operations and currently enrolled or have previously taken a video class at one of the North East Independent School District (NEISD) high school campuses
High School Diplomas and college/university degrees must be obtained from an accredited program or university approved by the United States Department of Education and the Texas Education agency.
PRIMARY PURPOSE SUMMARY :
As part of the camera crew for sporting and rental events, will serve as camera operator and grip and production assistant. On-site training is provided.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Follows the directions of the television director in getting camera shots and camera framing.
2.
Maintains confidentiality of information.
3.
Reports to work on time every day.
4.
Performs all other tasks and duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
•
Must adhere to all North East Independent School District student handbook rules on school dress and behavior
•
Basic knowledge of camera cable set-up and etiquette
•
Effective decisions making skills
•
Ability to operate a camera; set-up and tear down equipment
•
Ability to function as integral part of a team
