Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate <PERSON> therapist to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide expert psychotherapy and clinical counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, adults, and seniors. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, developmental disabilities, trauma, addiction, and behavioral issues. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake interviews to determine individual treatment needs.
- Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and crisis intervention techniques.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with client goals and clinical best practices while maintaining accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize electronic medical record (EMR) systems for efficient data collection, progress tracking, and medical record management.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, case managers, medical professionals, educators, and community agencies to coordinate care plans.
- Provide specialized services such as working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD care, Alzheimer's care, geriatrics, special education support, and addiction counseling.
- Engage in clinical research activities when applicable to support evidence-based practice improvements and contribute to ongoing program development.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in social work (LCSW/LICSW), psychology (PhD or PsyD), counseling psychology or related field from an accredited institution.
- Valid licensure or certification to practice as a therapist (e.g., LICSW) in the relevant state or jurisdiction.
- Proven experience working with children & families, individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders, and diverse populations across clinical settings such as hospitals or community clinics.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding systems (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with HIPAA regulations for patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Competency in behavioral health interventions including applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work practices, crisis management strategies, psychopharmacology considerations, and diagnostic evaluation tools.
- Experience working with electronic health records (EHR/EMR systems) for documentation and data collection purposes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients effectively while demonstrating cultural sensitivity and professionalism.
