We are a growing small business seeking a detail-oriented and organized Finance Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, analytical, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and process customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Track and record daily business expenses.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Enter and maintain financial data in spreadsheets, databases, and accounting software.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports and statements.
- Support budget preparation by gathering and organizing financial information.
- Assist during internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation.
- Maintain organized financial records and files.
- Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Perform other administrative and finance-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Experience with reconciliations and financial reporting.
- Comfortable working with large amounts of data and maintaining accurate records.
