Traveling Bilingual Safety Technician – Data Center Construction

Position Summary
We are seeking experienced Bilingual Safety Technicians to support major data center projects for a leading electrical contractor.
These positions require hands-on construction safety experience, strong electrical safety knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with both English- and Spanish-speaking employees in a fast-paced data center environment.
The Safety Technician will assist with site safety programs, inspections, training, compliance, and hazard identification while supporting project leadership in maintaining a strong safety culture.

- $42–$50/hour
- $133/day per diem, 6 days/week
- Per diem available for candidates living 60+ miles from the job site

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with safety operations for a large-scale data center electrical construction project
- Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and identify potential hazards
- Assist with project-specific safety programs and procedures
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and field observations
- Monitor electrical construction activities for compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, company policies, and project requirements
- Support electrical safety programs, including LOTO and energized work practices
- Identify hazards and assist with corrective actions
- Partner with project management, field leadership, subcontractors, and field personnel
- Investigate incidents and near misses and develop preventative measures
- Conduct safety meetings, training, and toolbox talks
- Monitor compliance with site-specific safety procedures
- Maintain accurate safety documentation and reporting
- Assist with safety meetings, toolbox talks, training, audits, and inspections
- Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, and incident records
- Serve as a safety resource for English- and Spanish-speaking field employees
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
- Electrical safety experience supporting data center, mission-critical, or large-scale commercial electrical construction projects required
- OSHA 30 Certification required
- CPR/First Aid Certification required
- NFPA 70E Certification required
- Bilingual English/Spanish required
- Strong knowledge of electrical construction safety
- Knowledge of LOTO, electrical hazards, inspections, and compliance
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and construction safety requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment
- Must be willing to work night shift if required
