Duties
- Prepare a variety of smoothies, specialty drinks, and light food items with precision and flair.
- Greet customers warmly, take their orders accurately, and recommend menu options to enhance their experience.
- Operate POS systems such as clover POS for order processing and cash handling.
- Manage time effectively during busy hours to serve customers promptly while maintaining quality standards.
- Ensure all food handling, preparation, and serving meet food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the café area, equipment, and utensils to promote a safe environment.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while balancing registers at shift end.
Skills
- Proven experience as a barista or in food service within a café or retail environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as clover
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures.
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail in food industry standards.
