Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Aide to join our team. In this role, you will assist physical therapists in providing high-quality care to patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Your contributions will help enhance the recovery process for individuals of all ages, including geriatrics, ensuring they receive the best possible support during their rehabilitation journey.
Responsibilities
- Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Help patients with exercises and therapeutic activities, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinic environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Document patient progress and report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and offering support throughout their treatment.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is preferred to understand patient needs effectively.
- Experience in acute care settings is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with both outpatient and inpatient care environments is beneficial.
- Strong interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care and service.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of healthcare professionals.
- Previous experience working with geriatric patients is advantageous.
