MUJI U.S.A. LIMITED is actively seeking a Garment Merchandising Associate to join our MUJI Corporate Office. This role has been created as part of the expansion of the merchandising organization and is not a replacement position and the grade level/salary will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications. Purpose
This position supports the merchandising strategy and execution for garment categories across MUJI North America stores. The role contributes to inventory allocation, sales performance monitoring, and cross‑functional coordination to ensure successful seasonal launches and store operations.
Reporting Structure
- Reports to: Merchandising Manager
- Works closely with: Garment Manager and cross‑functional teams including Stores, Logistics, VMD, and Planning
Role and Responsibilities
- Manage and distribute inventory appropriately across stores
- Allocate stock to meet store demand and maintain optimal stock levels
- Monitor store stock targets and support markdown activities
- Track weekly and monthly sales performance and merchandising priorities
- Support seasonal garment launches and related communication to stores
- Identify sales opportunities and operational issues impacting performance
- Price promotion planning and registration to ensure stores can execute the promotion smoothly
- Coordinate with warehouse teams regarding inbound and outbound inventory
- Communicate and collaborate with internal departments to achieve merchandising goals
- Support seasonal ordering plans (SS / AW) and face control map planning
- Conduct sales analysis to support merchandising decisions
Qualifications
Required Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- 2–3 years of experience in retail merchandising or a related field
- Strong allocation and inventory management skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights
- Proficiency Microsoft Office, PowerPoint
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to evaluate data and make sound merchandising decisions
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Education
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in a retail environment
- Experience in merchandising, retail operations, or inventory management preferred
- Basic mathematical ability with strong attention to detail

Work Schedule: Full time associates are expected to have a 5-day availability per week.
Pay: $26.00 - $31.25 per hour
