Support the agency mission by providing hope and healing to those impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and child maltreatment through the following responsibilities:

Use a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to provide:
-
Intake, assessment, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, court education, information, and referrals, as applicable.

Act with the client's needs in mind to provide long-term advocacy and case management services to the extent possible.
-
Provide hospital response as needed.
-
Ensure coordinated client care with key community partners, including onsite support at hospitals and within local law enforcement agencies, as necessary.

Accompany victims of child and adult sexual abuse, human trafficking, and domestic violence to hospitals, police departments, or court during regular work hours and on-call as needed.

Educate clients on the protective order process and coordinate with the Victim Assistance and Legal Representation Program, as appropriate.

Provide occasional courtroom support and crisis intervention for clients, as directed by the supervisor.

Facilitate support groups.

Maintain a caseload of advocacy clients.

Manage and supervise volunteers and interns as programmatically necessary and as assigned by the supervisor.

Participate in community multi-disciplinary team meetings where client cases are reviewed and advocate on behalf of clients when appropriate.

Maintain confidential, accurate, and up-to-date client, stakeholder, intern, volunteer, program, and agency records in agency databases, which may include CSN, Raiser's Edge, Financial Edge, and Paycom.

Research, write, and manage grant reporting and grantor relationships as assigned by the supervisor.

Adhere to agency and program procedures related to documentation, Critical Incident Reports, and Client Satisfaction Surveys.

Participate in Quality Assurance processes.

Increase awareness of victimization, prevention, and available resources through public speaking and media requests, as assigned.

Participate in community meetings and committees as assigned.

Promote and maintain professional relationships with agency staff, volunteers, interns, stakeholders, and community partners.

Support the agency mission by participating in outreach activities, community meetings, and committees as requested.

Stay informed of best practices, developments, and trends related to trauma and victimization, including intimate partner violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and child maltreatment.

Attend training courses assigned or approved by the supervisor.
-
Maintain required licensure and certifications as necessary.

Perform other duties as assigned to support overall agency effectiveness.

Required: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Preferred: Experience working with victims or in human services
-
Language Preference: Spanish-speaking preferred

Light work, including exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, twist, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.

Ability to perform close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustments necessary for accurate and thorough work.

Ability to reach, stand, crouch, walk, sit, twist, talk, hear, finger, grasp, and perform repeated motions.
