Supervisor Support Nurse
We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and compassionate Supervisor Support Nurse to join our nursing leadership team. This position plays an important role in supporting daily nursing operations, supervising clinical staff, and ensuring residents receive safe, compassionate, and high-quality care.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, guidance, and clinical support to nursing staff throughout the facility.
- Oversee daily nursing operations and help ensure quality resident care is consistently provided.
- Supervise nursing staff and assist with clinical questions, resident concerns, and changes in condition.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Ensure nursing policies, procedures, and standards of care are followed.
- Monitor staff performance and provide coaching, education, and support when needed.
- Collaborate with nursing leadership and the interdisciplinary team to address resident needs and improve outcomes.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, discharges, and changes in resident condition as needed.
- Ensure physicians and appropriate members of the care team are notified of significant changes in resident condition.
- Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Assist with medication administration, treatments, IV therapy, catheter care, and other clinical nursing responsibilities as needed.
- Support nursing staff during emergencies and provide appropriate clinical intervention.
- Help ensure appropriate staffing coverage and communicate staffing concerns to nursing leadership.
- Participate in staff education, training, and development.
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Promote resident dignity, safety, comfort, and quality of life.
- Perform additional nursing and supervisory duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Current and active RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Previous nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, assisted living, rehabilitation, or hospital setting preferred.
- Previous supervisory, charge nurse, or nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively supervise, coach, and support nursing staff.
- Experience with medication administration, catheterization, IV therapy, and other nursing procedures.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification as required.
- Ability to respond appropriately and professionally to changes in resident condition and emergency situations.
- Must demonstrate compassion, professionalism, dependability, and a commitment to resident-centered care.
