This Job is commission based of 40% our dynamic team as a Mobile Dog Groomer, where your passion for animals and grooming expertise come together to deliver exceptional pet care services directly to our clients’ doorsteps. In this energetic role, you'll provide professional grooming tailored to each dog's unique needs, ensuring they look and feel their best while maintaining their comfort and safety. Your ability to connect with pets and their owners will be key to creating a positive grooming experience that fosters loyalty and trust. Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive grooming services including bathing, trimming, styling, and nail clipping for dogs of all breeds and sizes in a mobile setting
- Handle dogs with care, utilizing animal handling techniques and restraint skills to ensure safety for both pets and yourself
- Assess each dog’s temperament and health status, providing gentle pet care that minimizes stress and discomfort
- Maintain cleanliness of grooming equipment and mobile workspace to uphold hygiene standards
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming needs, special instructions, and aftercare advice
- Manage appointment schedules efficiently, ensuring timely service delivery while accommodating client requests
- Assist with basic dog training or behavioral guidance when appropriate to promote positive grooming experiences
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pet grooming, dog handling, or animal care roles such as veterinary technician or veterinary assistant is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dog training techniques and animal restraint methods to ensure safe grooming procedures
- Familiarity with veterinary experience or veterinary clinic operations adds valuable insight into pet health considerations
- Ability to lift heavy objects such as grooming equipment or supplies safely and comfortably
- Strong customer service skills to build rapport with pet owners and address their concerns professionally
- Experience with animal handling across different species (including equine experience) is a plus but not required
- Valid Drivers Licence
- Insurance
- Prior kennel experience or pet sitting background demonstrates reliability and compassion in animal care
