North Central Iowa Gymnastics is looking for an enthusiastic Recreational Gymnastics instructor to join our team! No experience is required- we will train the right person.
NCIG is one of North Iowa and Southern Minnesota's largest gymnastics programs, offering both recreational and competitive gymnastics opportunities for athletes of all ages and skill levels. We are passionate about helping children build confidence, learn new skills, stay active, and have fun in a positive and supportive enviornment.
Responsibilities:
- Teach beginner level recreational gymnastics classes for ages 18 months and up
- Lead warm-ups, stations, drills, and games
- Ensure a safe and positive class enviornment
- Encourage and motivate athletes of all skill levels
- Communicate professionally with parents and fellow staff members
- Assist with set-up, cleanup, and organization of equipment
- Help maintain a clean, safe facility by wiping down equipment, vacuuming, taking out trash, tidying coach areas, and completing other light cleaning tasks as needed.
- Follow lesson plans and coaching guidelines
Qualifications
- Must genuinely love working with children
- Outgoing, energetic, and positive personality
- Reliable and Dependable
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to be actively involved in class and assist athletes as needed
- Gymnastics, dance, or cheer experience a plus, but NOT required
- Previous experience working with children coaching, teaching, childcare, education, healthcare, or youth programs is preferred but not required.
Schedule
We are currently hiring two part-time positions:
Weekend Instructor
- Saturday mornings (approximately 3-4 hours)
- Must also be available to work 1-2 weekday/evening shifts. (No Fridays!)
- Additional hours may be available
Evening Instructor
- Monday-Thursday evenings
- Approximately 4:00-7:30PM
Flexible scheduling may be available for the right candidate.
