Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages efficiently and accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Engage with guests to understand their preferences, recommend drinks, and promote specials to boost sales.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities including cashiering duties, processing payments, and balancing registers at shift end.
- Ensure responsible serving by monitoring guest alcohol consumption and adhering to legal drinking age regulations.
- Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and beverages to ensure smooth service flow throughout shifts.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to coordinate food and beverage service seamlessly.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining, nightclub, or banquet environments; retail math skills are a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; previous cash handling experience required.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly and professionally.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures in the food industry.
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and special events like catering or banquets.
