Job description:
Precision Images, Inc. is a specialized printing company in North Dighton, MA. While we don't work with paper products, we focus on direct-to-substrate printing on metal, wood, acrylic, and ceramic. You'll be working alongside a team of three, helping prioritize high-end quality for our customers and multitasking different duties.
We are looking for a full-time Production Printer Technician to help load blank pieces into jigs, test & run print-ready artwork onto different substrates, troubleshoot printing challenges as they arise, quality control finished items with high attention to detail, and other day-to-day technician duties.
Core Responsibilities:
- Machine Operation: Set up and run UV direct-to-substrate printers, including loading custom jigs for print set-up. Troubleshooting printing errors and daily maintenance/cleaning of each printer. Understanding the printing process of how our machines operate. Preparing completed orders for transit and utilizing FedEx/UPS software to generate shipping labels. Learning specific customer preferences, order differences, and main points of contact for artwork/order questions. >65% of job
- Quality Control: Handle product inspection, PMS color matching and packaging, ensuring every piece meets our standards. This includes inspecting small pieces for dust, printing quality (including looking for overspray, banding, stippling, etc).

- File Preparation: Use Adobe Illustrator to review and/or prep print files. Using printer RIP software to adjust, scale, color match, and test print blank pieces.<10% of job
- Laser Cutting: Operate CO2 lasers for cutting and engraving (we will provide training if you have the foundation but lack machine experience). <5% of job
Requirements:
- Technical: At least 1 year of experience with Adobe Illustrator is preferred. Attention to detail with blank and printed/finished items is crucial. Multitasking with efficiency.
- Physical: This is a hands-on role that requires being on your feet all day, moving between multiple machines to operate multiple different jobs.
- Shop Environment: You should be able to multitask independently but still be able to work with the team to brainstorm ideas, get second opinions on QC items & printer troubleshooting, and collaborate on certain projects.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Pay: $23.00 per hour.
- Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (No weekends).
- Review: A 60-day performance review with potential for merit-based increase.
