Responsibilities
- Be the ultimate sidekick by assisting clients with personal care tasks like grooming and dressing, all while sprinkling in some laughter and companion.
- Remind clients to take prescribed medication.
- Help with mobility
- Plan and prepare meals
- Assist clients with errands including outings, grocery shopping, etc.
- Perform light housekeeping duties
- Report any changes in condition/ Advocate for clients
- Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
- Encourage activities/exercises that are essential for daily living
- Provide safety supervision
- Transport client in the clients vehicle
Qualifications
- 21 or Older
- Ability to submit to and pass drug screen and criminal background check
- Must have experience with Dementia
- Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting,
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude
- Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
- Reliability and a can- do attitude
- Availability to work different shifts
- Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance and/or reliable transportation
- Take pride in providing high quality care
