Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic individual to join our team as a Cook. In this vital role, you will be responsible for supporting the Food Service & Catering department by assisting with meal preparation, food service, and ensuring food safety standards are maintained. Your enthusiasm and culinary skills will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where residents or clients receive nutritious, delicious meals prepared with care. Schedule: This position requires availability to work at least every other weekend. Typical shifts are approximately 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM; however, hours may vary based on catering events and operational needs.
Duties
- Assist in planning and executing daily menus in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals following established recipes and food safety protocols
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, including food handling and storage procedures
- Support catering events and special meal services as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and dining areas, ensuring compliance with health regulations
- Serve meals to residents or guests in a courteous and professional manner
- Contribute to inventory management by monitoring supplies and assisting with food ordering when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of three (3) years previous experience in dietary or food service departments preferred, especially within healthcare or senior living settings
- Previous management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards
- Skilled in cooking techniques, including knife skills and food presentation
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude toward teamwork
- Knowledge of catering, serving, and general kitchen operations is a plus

Pay: $18.12 - $20.83 per hour
