Heavy Industrial - Fabrication Associate – 2nd Shift

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Heavy Industrial - Fabrication Associate to join a fast-paced manufacturing facility in West Chester, OH.
The facility supports the fabrication of fire suppression and sprinkler systems. Pipes are brought into the shop, cut, fabricated, prepared, packaged, and ultimately shipped to job sites.
This is a hands-on machine operation and fabrication position. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to learn multiple areas of the shop and develop additional manufacturing skills over time, with potential growth into a welding role.
Important: This is currently a non-welding position.
The facility is non-climate-controlled and can become very hot during warmer months.
Responsibilities
- Operate machinery used in pipe fabrication and manufacturing.
- Set up and maintain fabrication equipment.
- Measure and cut pipe using band saws, torches, and other equipment.
- Operate grooving, cutting, threading, and other fabrication machinery.
- Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
- Use tape measures and gauges to ensure accurate measurements and quality.
- Move loose or bundled pipe throughout the shop and yard.
- Assemble pipe orders and maintain organized materials and work supplies.
- Support general labor and assembly activities throughout the shop.
- Operate powered industrial equipment safely and according to established procedures.
- Inspect equipment and follow established safety requirements.
- Accurately measure and record pipe lengths.
- Learn and operate different equipment throughout the shop as training progresses.
- Work independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent machine operation, manufacturing, or hands-on mechanical experience.
- Recent graduates of a relevant trade school program may also be considered in place of the 1-year experience requirement.
- Experience working with machinery such as band saws, pipe threaders, roll groove machines, plasma cutting equipment, automatic welding machines, pneumatic banders, or similar industrial equipment.
- Ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
- Ability to use gauges for quality checks.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong safety awareness and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn different areas of the shop and operate different equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable work history is preferred.
Candidates with backgrounds in automotive mechanics, machinery maintenance, automotive production, diesel equipment, farm equipment, or similar hands-on mechanical environments are encouraged to apply.
Preferred: Previous experience with fire sprinkler pipe fabrication.

Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM–1:30 AM
Friday: Mandatory overtime, typically 6–8 hours
Candidates must be comfortable working the full second-shift schedule and required Friday overtime.
Compensation
$19.00–$21.00 per hour
This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity with a current expected end date of March 12, 2027, and potential for permanent conversion based on performance and business needs.
This position provides an opportunity to learn multiple areas of the fabrication operation and potentially grow into more advanced roles within the shop.
