Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented machinist that has a firm understanding and knowledge of both CNC and manual machine tools to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and maintain various CNC and manual machines to produce components. Your expertise in machining, CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical troubleshooting will be essential in ensuring efficient production processes. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC and manual milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment with precision and safety compliance.
- Read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate machining.
- Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and modify existing programs for optimal performance.
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration devices such as micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring instruments to achieve tight tolerances.
- Troubleshoot industrial equipment issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure machines operate at peak efficiency.
- Follow safety standards in production environments, including proper handling of materials and use of hand tools and safety gear.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize machining processes and improve quality control measures
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC equipment such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, within a manufacturing or factory setting.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc preferred), CAM programming tools, CAD software, and blueprint reading skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with industrial troubleshooting techniques for machinery issues.
- Experience with precision measurement tools including micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments to ensure product quality.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely and handle materials efficiently within a manufacturing environment.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining dimensions and tolerances.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments to maintain a safe workspace for all team members.
