Wonderworld Playzone is a clean, family-friendly indoor play center where children come to play and families come to relax. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking team member who takes pride in preparing food safely and maintaining a clean environment for our guests.
Position Summary
This is a dual-role position responsible for operating our small kitchen while also helping maintain the cleanliness of our facility during slower periods. We are looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, follows food safety procedures, and understands the importance of cleanliness in a family environment.
Kitchen Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items including:
- Pizza
- French fries
- Chicken wings
- Hot dogs
- Other light snack items
- Operate commercial deep fryers and kitchen equipment safely.
- Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Monitor food quality and portion control.
- Stock and organize food supplies.
- Wash dishes and maintain a clean kitchen throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory and notify management when supplies are running low.
Facility Cleaning Responsibilities
During slower kitchen periods, responsibilities include:
- Clean and sanitize guest restrooms throughout the day.
- Wipe and disinfect tables and seating areas.
- Sweep and mop floors as needed.
- Empty trash and replace liners.
- Help keep the café and parent seating area clean and welcoming.
- Assist with general cleaning tasks to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Qualifications
- Previous cooking experience is REQUIRED.
- Experience operating a deep fryer is REQUIRED.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is REQUIRED.
- Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain one) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Friendly attitude and team-player mindset.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience
- Fast food, café, concession stand, restaurant, or commercial kitchen experience.
- Experience cleaning commercial restrooms and public areas.
- Customer service experience is a plus.
Schedule
- Weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Flexible availability is preferred.
- Weekend availability is required.
