We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, food preparation, and plating, while ensuring that our dishes meet our high standards of quality and presentation. Your leadership skills and culinary expertise will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Key Responsibilities:

Kitchen Supervision: Lead the kitchen team during shifts, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth operations and a cohesive work environment.

Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish. Be able to do so in any of the kitchen stations. Should be able to perform all basic and intermediate cooking skills.

Menu Collaboration: Collaborate with the culinary management team to develop new menu items, incorporating seasonal ingredients and culinary trends to enhance guest offerings.

Quality Control: Monitor food quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment

Inventory Management: Assist with inventory control by tracking ingredient usage, managing supplies, and placing orders as needed to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.

Training and Development: Train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety protocols, and kitchen standards to foster a positive learning environment.

Guest Interaction: Occasionally interact with guests to gather feedback on dishes and create a welcoming atmosphere within the culinary space.

Operational Support: Maintain kitchen equipment and report any maintenance needs to the management team, ensuring a safe and functional workspace.

Additional Duties: Perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by management to ensure efficient restaurant operations.
Minimum Qualifications:

Previous experience as a cook in a high-volume restaurant.

Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and culinary trends.

Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and manage a diverse team.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as our restaurant operates seven days a week.
