Position Summary:
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Fleet Manager. The Fleet Manager is responsible for leading a team of Technicians and Mechanics in an aggressive quality preventative maintenance repair program, including the maintenance of light and medium to large/heavy duty vehicles, and other equipment to ensure a safe and efficient fleet.
Compensation: $95,000 to $105,000/yr. based on experience plus additional annual bonus incentives
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm

What the Fleet Manager role looks like:
-
Manage daily fleet maintenance and repair operations, ensuring minimal downtime
-
Oversee a high volume of repair orders and prioritize workflow for maximum efficiency
-
Supervise shop operations and/or maintenance staff as applicable
-
Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed and documented
-
Manage parts and inventory, including ordering, tracking, and cost control
-
Review repair estimates, invoices, and warranty claims for accuracy
-
Coordinate with clients, dealerships, and vendor service providers to ensure quality work
-
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, DOT requirements, and company policies
-
Analyze maintenance data and recommend improvements to operation
What our ideal candidate looks like:

Required Qualifications
-
Minimum 5 years of fleet management or shop management experience
-
Strong technical/mechanical background (hands-on experience preferred)

Proven history of managing high-volume repair orders
-
Demonstrated experience with inventory and parts management
-
Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with fleet management software or CMMS systems
-
Knowledge of DOT compliance and safety standards
Working Conditions:
-
Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.

Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.

Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants.

Ability to move and position heavy objects

Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles

Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
