Position Information:
Our ideal Lineman candidate must have extensive knowledge in all areas concerning aerial cable procedures and techniques. This requires the ability to follow blueprints & maps, safety guidelines, operating instructions, utilize a wide range of tools and equipment, all while leading his crew members.
Qualifications
- Must have 3-5 years experience in Placing Strand, Coax, & Fiber Construction
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s license (Commercial driver’s license preferred but not required)
- Must have reliable transportation, be dependable and punctual
- Due to the nature of field work, this position may require overtime, working on weekends, holidays, and the possibility of being called in during off hours
- We are an outside plant construction company, it is mandatory to work outside in the varying elements year round
- Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs as needed with or without assistance

Responsibilities
- Proficient in the installation and repair aerial telecommunications cable
- Safely utilize tools and machinery; bucket truck, climbing gear, digger derrick, excavators, hand tools and more
- Must manage the job site, and ensure all daily data is reported properly
- Establish a safe work perimeter using; signage, cones, safety barriers, and ensure traffic is flagged if needed
- Understand separation and clearance regulations
- Flexibility to work in multiple locations
- Ability to travel when travel is required
This job standardly pays productions rates, the more you complete the more you make. However, an hourly wage is also possible. $1000 to $2500 weekly
