Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load and unload shipments.
- Manage order picking using various equipment such as <PERSON> pickers and ensure accuracy in fulfilling customer orders.
- Assist with warehouse management system updates to track inventory levels and movement.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and minor repairs to maintain optimal operation of lift trucks and other machinery.
- Support shipping & receiving activities by verifying shipments against documentation and ensuring proper storage.
- Participate in warehouse distribution tasks including materials handling, stacking pallets, and organizing storage areas.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow efficiency and uphold OSHA safety standards.
Requirements
- MUST be proficient in Sit-Down, Stand-Up and Cherry Picker machines.
- MUST be proficient in picking orders.
- Proven experience operating forklifts (including reach trucks, Hi-Lo, clamp trucks) and heavy equipment within a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems and order picking procedures.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations related to materials handling and equipment operation.
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and perform physical tasks involving heavy lifting regularly.
- Basic math skills for inventory counts, measurements, and documentation accuracy.
- Valid forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred.
