We are seeking a motivated and attentive Bus Monitor to join our team! In this vital role, you will ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of students during their daily transportation. Your energetic presence and strong communication skills will help create a positive and secure environment on our buses, supporting students with diverse needs and fostering a respectful atmosphere. Duties
- Supervise students during bus rides, ensuring their safety and proper behavior at all times
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, providing support as needed
- Enforce behavior management policies to promote a safe and respectful environment
- Communicate effectively with drivers, school staff, parents, and students to address concerns or emergencies
- Provide basic first aid when necessary and respond appropriately to behavioral incidents
- Maintain discipline by managing conflicts calmly and professionally
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and conflict resolution strategies
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly; First aid certification is a plus
- Experience working with students in classroom or teaching environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with special education needs or classroom experience is desirable
- Must be dependable, patient, energetic, and committed to student safety
